D&SNG excursion gondola |

REM's
is the only manufacturer of a D&SNG
excursion gondola. We also offer a conversion kit to convert any of the flat cars to
gondolas. The primary kits come with KADEE Couplers. The kits are wood with plastic details. Although a freelance design, they are centered around the truss rod style frame that was popular from the mid-1800's to the early 1900's and can even be seen in use today on several narrow gauge lines. Standard Gauge Box Car bodies are 10' wide. Add another foot overall to account for ladders, door channel, etc. Walls are 10' high. Add a foot to roof peak. Overall length is 40' plus 4' for couplers (Kadee #802). The Standard Flat is 40' overall + 4' for couplers and about 10' 9" width including the stake pockets. Narrow Gauge Box Car bodies are 7' 8" wide plus 1' with appurtenances. Walls are 8' high and roof peak is 9'. Overall body length is 30' 8". Add about 3' overall knuckle to knuckle (Kadee #5). The Narrow Gauge Flat is 30' 8" overall and 8' 4" across the stake pockets. We believe the narrow gauge kits fall within a few inches of many of the Colorado lines. We have tried to engineer a moderately detailed, easy to assemble kit that can be completed by a novice in an evening or two. Yet, with the addition of a few detail parts or some minor modification, the kit can serve as the base for a more ambitious project by a more experienced modeler. |
| Unfortunately we have been unable to find a consensus in the S scale community regarding appropriate trucks. Hence, these kits are provided without trucks. |

DEALER pricing requires an initial order of 1 of each primary (all scales) or 2 of each primary in a scale or 2 of each primary in a gauge (all scales) or 12 of one primary kit.
